This weekend I attended the most beautiful wedding ceremony. It was a fairytale wedding that every girl dreams of. I was so happy to share such an important milestone with my friends Kacy and Ben. The love filled the room that night. Family and friends came together for the happy couple. We were all able to put aside our surface level problems and focus on a happy moment, one that I will always cherish in my heart.
After attending such a romantic wedding for my friends Kacy and Ben this weekend I am excited to share my Spring wedding guest dress to help you prepare for all your weddings this season. There is a lot of pressure in finding a suitable dress for such a formal event. Especially when you are not often invited to events that require a dress code. The task to find a formal dress can be quite daunting, but I am here to help you navigate what to wear.
The most important thing to remember is to stay comfortable. Everyone has a different idea of what formal dress attire is so there is no reason to stress about being overdressed or underdressed. Just pick out the nicest thing you can find that is right for you.
The dress I choose to wear felt like the perfect dress to wear to a Spring wedding. Springtime is about sleeveless and light linen styles. That is why I choose a relaxed linen dress for the wedding from Reformation. It is a fun dress that is flirty and colorful pastel purple gingham print. I tried to avoid wearing white or being loud and over the top. No way would I want to outshine the bride on her wedding day. Plus I liked how it was more of a casual and playful style. It made me more comfortable than wearing a formal ball gown.
It is important to stick to a style that you can re-wear and that is within your budget too. I was finding hundreds of overpriced dresses that I loved that would have been perfect for a Spring wedding but finally settled on a dress that better fit my price range. However, if you want to go for something big and fancy without paying for the dress I think renting a dress is a great option for these kinds of functions. That way you can avoid spending hundreds of dollars on a dress that you are only going to wear once.
With the Reformation dress that I picked I feel like I will still wear it around town on a nice day. It is a perfect dress that can go from day to night. A transformative piece that I plan to wear a lot this Spring and Summer. If you are looking for a formal dress or a vacation dress this sustainable brand is a great place to start looking.
