Whenever you are traveling to a warm-weather destination what do you like to pack? I consistently shop for summer vacation outfits at sustainable brands that always have cute collections that are made to last. With summer being such a short period of the year that fly’s by way to fast I like to build a wardrobe that I can wear every year.
It is easy to buy summer pieces that never go out of style because summertime trends seem to always come back every year. Summertime has signature prints that always come back like colorful florals, gingham, nautical stripes and tropical palm prints like this silk skirt from Amour Vert. I wore this skirt last year in this post here and in this post you can read about Amour Vert’s sustainable practices.
What I love about this summer piece is that is lightweight. It is the kind of material that I can wear during hot and humid summer days. Amour Vert just released a similar print called the Riviera palm with several different styles. There is the skirt like the one I have. The silk everyday dress, the perfect summer jumpsuit, a high neck blouse, and button-down top. Whenever there are matching pieces like this like the wrap skirt and high neck blouse I like to buy the set and then mix and match the pieces with my summer wardrobe. Instantly creating several looks that I can wear throughout the summer without having to buy several new outfits. This is the best strategy to use when you are trying to avoid over packing for your summer vacation.
Mara Hoffman is another sustainable brand that I always gravitate to, especially in the summertime. The bold prints and colors that this brand is known for is the perfect way to stand out from the crowd. This brand is considered higher end but I always hold out to buy their pieces on major discount at the end of a season. I have scored many outfit staples that I wear every year. The brand has really amazing swimsuits and summer clothing like this black wrap top that I purchased during a ShopBop season end sale. The top is made out of 100% organic cotton, making it a great lightweight summer top. It is an easy piece to style with all of my skirts and high rise pants too.
A lightweight sustainable summer outfit is essential for walks around a new city in a tropical destination. I was very comfortable walking around Lahaina, Maui. Such a beautiful spot to see if you are ever visiting Maui. There is a main street that you walk down with lots of souvenir shops, art galleries, and restaurants. It is located right on the water next to “the warf” aka Lahaina harbor and a park filled with huge banyan trees. One of my favorite places to visit on the island. Stay connected for more of my favorite spots on Maui with many more vacation outfits to come.
As always thanks for reading!!
